Subway Sandwiches - Banaglore (India) Airport

Watch out for the Subway Sandwich store at the new Bangalore, India airport. The Subway workers will charge you extra and pocket the difference. This happened several times this past week to a group I was with.

They get away with it because, by the time you figure out what happened you are usually inside the terminal. And once inside you can not easily get back out through security... and this is security armed with automatic weapons. That just shows they are serious about security and they don't want people going back and forth, in and out of the terminal.

Also, keep on an eye on your change inside the terminal. The clerks at the Cafe in the departure area do the same thing. When buying food at the Bangalore airport, keep a close eye on what you are getting charged and always ask for a receipt... and be sure the change you receive matches what is on the receipt.

Do You Have Some Bad Advice That Sounds Good?

I had moved on to other things and forgotten this blog. But, how can one truly forget a source of really bad advice? So once again I've started thinking about advice that sounds good, but is in fact really bad advice.

Do you have some advice for others that sounds good? ...but isn't?

If so, add it as a comment to this post and I'll make it into a new post. If you'd like credit for the post, just include your pen-name (handle, alias, etc. We will not include real names.) it at the end of the post.

Meanwhile I'm going to consider what may be possibly the WORST advice that can be given. Advice that means certain destruction. Maybe I'll tell you about it, maybe I won't. I haven't decided yet.

Don't Visit This Web Site - It's Life or Death

As the source of really bad advice, we must advise you to stay away from the Good Person Test. This is a free online test that essentially determines whether you are going to heaven or hell.

Would you consider yourself to be a good person? If you are a good person, you will go to heaven. But if you are not... if you have broken God's laws... you are heading for hell.

Go ahead. Visit this web site. Take the Good Person Test, but you probably won't like the results. But you won't be able to deny the results either, because what you'll be seeing is truth.

So our advise is to avoid the Good Person Test. Keep your head buried in the sand... eat, drink and be merry while you can, because it looks like you are heading for hell.

Computer Screen Character Shortage

The major networks and newspaper have not picked up on this story yet, but you'll be hearing about it on ZD85.com in the near future... that's right we can now predict the future... but there is a serious shortage of characters used on computer screens.

Each computer monitor comes with a vacuum bottle filled with compressed alpha-numeric characters. As you type, and words appear on your screen, characters are drawn out of the vacuum bottle and displayed on the screen. Most people have never thought about where those letters and numbers come from. They can't came from nothing. The laws of conservation of text and numerals say that characters can not be created out of nothing. As the vacuum bottle empties additional characters are transferred through the internet to refill the vacuum bottle.

So where do they come from? Most of the letters and numbers you see on your screen were manufactured in China. There are some factories in South Korea and Taiwan, but most of the production has now been shifted to China. The problem is that a fire destroyed a major factory located in Shache and that has reduced the supply of computer characters. This means that most vacuum bottles are no longer getting a full refill.

We are releasing this information here, in advance of it being posted on ZD85.com, because of the urgency of the situation. It is important that computer users reduce their use of alpha-numerical characters for at least the next 30-60 days. You should use abbreviations as much as possible, and when possible cut and paste existing characters so that new characters are not used.

Thank you for your cooperation and help during this emergency situation.

Dealing With A Slug Problem

Slugs are not native to North America, so they have no natural enemies. If you have a problem with slugs in your yard or garden, the advice on www.zd85.com solves the problem by introducing a natural predator... by making the slugs into a meal.

This article is illustrated with pictures that show what a truly serious slug problem is like and how it can be dealt with. Although no recipes are included, several suggestions are included allowing you to create your own recipes.

Once you've read this short article about slug infestations and how to eliminate slugs, you will never think about slugs in the same way again.
